Shoes have always been a big part of my life. Back in grade school wishing I could get a pair of Air Jordan 5's was just a dream. I would typically get some team model or sale shoes at Foot Locker. My Mom always got me nice things but for most families a hundred dollar pair was not a reality. Growing up in Wyoming fashion and trends were always about a year or so behind. You might see some trends on the television or in a magazine, as there was no internet. At least not the way it is now. Now you get sneak peaks of what's to come on sneaker sights, celebrities, Facebook, hype etc... There was always something in my blood that just loved the feeling of a new pair of shoes. Its like your on top of the world when your rocking a fresh new pair. I ended up getting my hands on a "like new" pair of Jordan 5's in the early months of 1991. They were awesome! Barely used and super comfy. There was probably a part of me that thought they made me jump higher, even feel like a better player. I was hooked... I began to skateboard in the following years and next to a new deck a pair of new skate shoes was as good as it gets. Looking back I think I always had ten plus pairs of shoes in my closet. Ranging from Dr. Martens to samba, Etnies even Birkenstocks. And in 2008 it soared to a another level.... TBC
